Capturing Creativity | Eagle High | JV Football
As a photographer, one of my favorite parts of media days is seeing the personality and creativity of the athletes come alive in front of the camera. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a few players from the Eagle High JV football team, and let me tell you—it was a blast!
For their media day, I brought a variety of poses for them to choose from, ensuring that they had options to highlight their confidence, strength, and team spirit. However, what stood out most was how they took those foundational poses and made them their own.
Some players opted for a classic, powerful stance with a determined look, while others leaned into playful expressions or energetic poses that showed their unique personalities. It wasn’t just about football; it was about showcasing who they are off the field, too. I loved seeing their confidence grow as they stepped into their creative sides, whether it was a slight tilt of the head or a bold, unplanned move that brought an entirely new vibe to the shot.
The energy they brought to the session made it unforgettable. You could tell they had fun, and that’s exactly what makes photography sessions so meaningful to me—capturing real, authentic moments.
It was a great reminder of how important it is to give clients the freedom to express themselves during a shoot. Sure, I have go-to poses and strategies to ensure the session runs smoothly, but the magic really happens when people feel free to be themselves.
